Update allowed format for barcode length and offset

For which schema is a change/update being suggested?

I would like to request an update to the module/process/sequencing/barcode.json schema

What should the change/update be?

I would like to update the format of the barcode length/offset to support technologies like Microwell-Seq, which contain several barcodes of the same type.

In order to achieve this, we would need to update the fields to be arrays. The fields affected will be:

• barcode_offset
• barcode_length

This update constitutes a major change to the schema(s) it affects because it will change the type of field.

Why is the change requested?

Data wranglers need it to accurately represent new technologies that use more than one barcode.
