For which schema is a change/update being suggested?
I would like to request an update to the specimen_from_organism.json schema.
What should the change/update be?
I would like to add a new field - collection_site - to this schema to allow data contributors to record the collection site of the specific specimen.
This update constitutes a minor change to the schema(s) it affects.
What new field(s) need to be changed/added?

collection_site - Field description: The site that the specimen was collected on. Could be latitude longitude in decimal degrees, pseudonymised site per study or name of site.

Why is the change requested?
Genetic Diversity Bionetwork requested sample collection site in latitude longitude values while other bionetworks have already requested in string values for the site name. In Tier 1 it is collected pseudonymised for privacy reasons.
We decided to allow with priority to the latitude longitude in decimal degrees if it's available, but if not available allow site name (pseudonymised or site name) since this is the most usual way of sharing such info.
This could be recorded in the process.process_core.location field in the process from donor to specimen, however this does not allow easy accessibility of the metadata.
