Hello,

i'm trying to root my X40 by using the fastboot method.
Unfortunately livesuit is not reacting to the over USB connected robot.
The LEDs are flashing continously after pressing the buttons of the PCB and Robot like it is written on the page.
I tought i would a have a problem with driver, secureboot(of course deactivated) etc., but lsusb shows the connection as "Bus 001 Device 007: ID 1f3a:efe8 Allwinner Technology sunxi SoC OTG connector in FEL/flashing mode "

What am i doing wrong? FEL is not Fastboot... The "OTG" confuses me. the Jumper on the PCB is not installed.

I bet it is just a small thing i don't see. Would be glad to get some help...

You are using Debian, right? Live or installed? Which version?

Also make sure that LiveSuit is running as root and that the awusb kernel module is loaded.

Yes. Debian 12 bookworm, native and fresh installed on HP Elitedesk 800 G2.

Livesuit shows up as a window, awusb is listed in lsmod, but value "used by" = 0.
So obviously its not working with the robot connected to the usb. Btw.: I also changed cables, did not help...

Try Debian 12.10 live, as per the instructions (not 12.12, and also don't update it after booting it)
