With @HollyODSC we are firming up the Support Centre / Site work, so that we can route people through to the same place / page, to then begin the process to contact us etc

We know we have Contact Us in the header, but it seems discretionary and optional in terms of what we put into footers, according to the design-system: https://iati.github.io/design-system/?path=/docs/components-footer--docs

Would it be feasible to include a uniform place and/or button in the footer for people to Contact Us - which would then be implemented in a standard and consistent way throughout ?

I dont know if this is a change to the design system, or just a decision around how we implement, but would be good to agree

If it's in the header, does it also need to be in the footer? Would an appropriate way to to standardise be to say that there shouldn't be Contact Us links anywhere other than the header unless as part of a specific CTA?

With the scrolling people may do, is it not prudent to have Contact us link also at the footer? I think @HollyODSC also suggested that

Is that what we want? Elsewhere we've discussed how we might be over-promoting contacting us, so would it make more sense to ensure that links to documentation and other resources are promoted in the footer, leaving a way to contact us in the header if someone does want to go and look for it.

I think it does make some sense to have it in the footer by the time someone has scrolled down a whole d-portal page (for example) - it's also where I would expect to look for contact information rather than scrolling back up. We still want people to be able to get in touch and not make it unnecessarily frustrating to do so.

As long as we are directing people to the Contact Us page where they may be able to find an answer to their question, and not an email address, that's the main thing (and how this topic originally came about!).
