How to keep the pitch angle of the wind turbine blades constant

I am studying the impact of flexible deformation of the IEA 22MW wind turbine blades on aerodynamic performance, based on a comparative analysis between rigid and flexible blades. Could you please tell me how to disable the pitch control system, so that the pitch angles of the two sets of simulations are the same? I tried disabling the pitch control system, but I still encounter errors afterward. How can I resolve this?

@hope111-eng I assume you are running your simulations in OpenFAST. If that's not the case, please add details. if you are running OpenFAST, you can lock the pitch and rotor speed by disabling CompServo here and by locking the generator degree of freedom here

I encountered another problem. When I selected CompElast as 2 = ElastoDyn + BeamDyn for blades during the simulation based on flexible blades, the output deformation data for the blades was not zero even though I disabled the degrees of freedom for blade deformation in the modeling of rigid blades. Later for the rigid blades, I chose 1 = ElastoDyn. Could you tell me if the blade properties based on the input files 1 and 2 are the same? ...

If you use CompElast=2 you cannot model the blades rigidly. The structural degrees of freedom are only used when modeling the blades with ElastoDyn, so CompElast=1

Yes, for the rigid and flexible blade models, they are based on the same aerodynamic module. I am concerned that the difference in the CompElast used (one is 1 and the other is 2) may lead to a lack of authenticity in the data.

BeamDyn only models the structural dynamics of the blades. If you want to model the blades rigidly, just turn BeamDyn off (CompElast=1). Everything else will stay the same
