<p class="card-text " ><b>The continuous quest and insatiable thirst that Indians had for knowledge resulted in the creation of a huge corpus of both tangible and intangible heritage. While the intangible heritage in the form of yoga and other spiritual practices that got developed over ages in India is fairly known, and recorded in the annals of history, the scientific literature in diverse disciplines such as astronomy, mathematics, medicine, logic, arts, linguistics and so on have remained neglected and scantily studied. </b> </p>

<p class="card-text "><b>The Cell for Indian Sciences and Technology in Sanskrit (CISTS) at IIT Bombay established in 2002, primarily serves as a unique center dedicated to promote high-quality research in the vast scientific literature in Sanskrit. Through this proposed project we aim at creating a relevant technological ecosystem that aids the process of collection, preservation and digitization of texts and manuscripts pertaining to ancient scientific literature and their dissemination in various forms.</b> </p>
