Description
Main processor is the Raspberry Pi Computer module. It uses 200 Pin SODIMM connector for connecting to the board.
This board will be compatible with Raspberry Pi CM1 and CM3. It will not support CM3/Lite.
CM1:
- BCM2835 System on Chip (SoC) processor
- Single Core 32bit, 700Mhz
- ARM11 with ARMv6 Instruction Set
- 512MByte LPDDR2 RAM
- 4GBytes eMMC
CM3:
- BCM2837 System on Chip (SoC) processor
- Quad Core 64bit, 1.2Ghz
- 512KByte L2 Cache
- ARM Cortex A53 with ARMv7 Instruction Set
- 1GByte LPDDR2 RAM
- 4GBytes eMMC
Due to the CM3 using the BCM2837, this means that consideration needs to be made for power consumption and heat dissipation.
- 2000mW for CM1, 3500mW for CM3/3L*
Mechanical Specification
The Compute Modules conform to JEDEC MO-224 mechanical specification for 200 pin DDR2 (1.8V)
SODIMM modules (with the exception that the CM3, CM3L modules are 31mm in height rather than
30mm of CM1) and therefore should work with the many DDR2 SODIMM sockets available on the
market.
