Nova releases and repository revisions published through version 4.2.0 were offered under the MIT License. Those existing grants cannot be withdrawn; the historical terms are preserved in LICENSE-MIT-LEGACY.
Nova-authored changes first released in version 4.3.0 and later, including protected release tooling and artifacts, are offered under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0 in LICENSE, unless a file or third-party notice states otherwise.
Code contributed by other copyright holders remains subject to the rights they granted when they contributed it. Before a future release relies on exclusive relicensing of a third-party contribution, Nova must obtain the contributor's written permission or replace that contribution with independently authored code.
Third-party libraries, fonts, and other dependencies retain their own licenses. No Nova software license grants rights to the Nova name, logos, product appearance, domains, or social identities; see TRADEMARKS.md.
Commercial use requires a separate written agreement from Nova Proxy. This file records project policy and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.
