Multiple Studio/Distributor Codifiers on One DCP?

I would like to suggest something for co-distribution pacts or international sub-distribution, JUST in case it hasn't happened already. If the studio is not placed under the same (partial) ownership as the distributor, the placeholder code would look like "ST-DIST." (This may work for something like PC-UIP or UP-UIP, as UIP would represent United International Pictures, the international distribution joint venture between Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures.) For a co-distribution pact, the placeholder code would look like "ST1-ST2." (For example, a film co-distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and Universal Pictures would have a studio code saying "WR-UP.")

International sub-distribution is quite common. However, generally when this happens, it's per territory or region (or even rarely versions) and the CPL is rewrapped with the single studio/distributor whom is managing in that territory/region, as they own all the rights for said territory, including setting the naming for the content. I've never seen a request for a dual Studio in a CTT as such.

Okay, because I haven’t noticed certain distributors on there, namely Roadshow Films in Australia and New Zealand. Trust me, I typed their name on the search bar in Studio Codes and got nothing.

Typically, as a cinema owner, if I need to figure out who is distributing a DCP for a film in my region, I just search for the Projectionist letter (With KDMs) for the target CPL. Either in the Email targeted account, or using whatever KDM automation tool. Good ones also store the EMAIL contents that come with the KDM. That Email will typically have that information, or if not (unusual) you contact that provider to find out exactly who ordered the KDM.
Its not unusual to have a film, with a majors name on it, being distributed via a small distributor. Or one big distributor acting for multiple majors.
You have to check, go to the source, to really know.
This is rarely required.

We only add in facilities and studio on the said company's request, so it's not surprising they are missing. We can occasionally add in on secondary request if that person has the permission to act on the companies' behalf, such as I do with Indies or sub divisions of studios all the time when we do work for them.

You mention Aus and NZ, perhaps you and @jamiegau can do a reach out to distributors and facilities locally to have them see the DCNC and request to be added if they are missing. The more eyes and usage the better!
