COG performance (speedometer/motionmark)

I'm testing COG as a potential browser for embedded use on the Orange Pi 5+ board.

Unfortunately, during the performance comparison with other browsers, I noticed that COG significantly lags behind and shows much worse results than Blink or Gecko

I'm trying to understand whether this is a problem with my build specifically, or is the WPE port expectedly slower than Chromium/Firefox?

MotionMark test tesults for example:

• Chromium 123.0.6312.86 (Snap)
• COG 0.18.3 (WPE WebKit 2.42.4), WL platform, default compilation parameters, compiler: gcc (Ubuntu 11.4.0-1ubuntu1~22.04) 11.4.0

Test env: Orange Pi+, aarch64, Ubuntu 22.04, Wayland, CAGE compositor (one-windowed, kiosk mode), 1920x1080 screen
