Add section on using the readers/writers #173
Description
The main part of the documentation, where the readers/writers are explained in detail. Should include thorough examples and howto use them.
This issue might be broken down in multiple issues if it feels too big.
Documenting the API is not the point of this issue. That will be addressed in #175 .
