Can you explain why the fileName must need when submit with bytestream?

Well in my case, the service just needs to care about what the byte stream of the file is, and tell the classification results for it, so passing the fileName param seems to be redundant. Maybe I am wrong or not in the best practice, and I am very happy to know more about the design details. Can you share it with me? thx.
