MACOS, purgeable space vs free space

Description
On my laptop, Macos 15.7.1, I have 240+ Gb of free space , but KDrive only sees 49 Gb of available space. Therefore it refuses to synch while I have enough space.

macOS should clear any purgeable space if needed. Some apps will check free space instead of asking for storage space and fail because of the way macOS manages it.

Steps to reproduce
Fill disk with near max storage.
Delete 100 Gb of files and empty trash bin
Check in disk utility and General settings> storage .
The storage should be different in the two above utilities.
Check which one KDrive uses.

Expected behavior
Should use the really available space
