When we plug the RealSense with USB cable does it consume energys ?

So as we know that the heat effect on the camera performance. My question is that when i plug the camera with the USB cable when i don't turn it on mean i don't use any function like pipeline.start() or open the software like RealSense Viewer. Will the camera consume power. If it consume power even with a low consumption can we turn it off somehow, and if it is not consume any power that will be a great thing to hear.
My current one i am using is D435i

Hi @anewworl Any device plugged into the USB port - not just RealSense cameras - will be continually drawing a small amount of power (5 volts) even when not in active use.

Setting a USB power saving plan in the computer's operating system enables a currently idle USB port to be suspended to save power.
