Hello
I have a few questions regarding the Connection Type and Device Type
- Some geo IP resolvers are resolving NAT connections. Due to the prevalence of NAT today, what should the Connection Type be in such cases? As an example, a router that uses NAT
-
Computer 1 is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
-
Computer 2 is connected to the router via WiFi.
-
A phone connected to the router via WiFi.
If NAT detector is enabled, all the devices connected to it — Ethernet (cable) or WiFi - will be resolved as NAT.
- Device Type != Connection Type
Some of the geo IP resolvers will resolve PHONE that connected to a router via WIFI as WIRED connection type, as it resolves based on the IP address (fixed connection).
Saying that - it's possible that the Device Type is PHONE and the Connection Type is WIRED. Is that true?
Thanks
