Node does not terminate when it errors

On Windows when the node erros it does not terminate. This can be reproduced by passing --topology with some non-existing file. The exception is thrown, but it's not shown in the console making it difficult to debug the problem.

Last time I checked this was still the case; It's better not to close bug's without asking, some people might get rather annoyed by that (although not me).
