Description
I installed Deskthing (v0.11.17) to use with an old phone (not with a Carthing device). I used it for a little while, and everything seemed to work well. I had the latest version of Weather Waves (0.11.2), Spotify app (0.11.1) and the Weather app (0.11.2) installed and despite warnings about them not being supported on my m1 Mac mini, they all seemed to work fine.
Fast forward a week or two later, and all of a sudden my storage is full for some reason. It turns out ~/Library/Application Support/deskthing/logs/readable.log is 54Gb large! Most of it is from Spotify logging info about song changes, and the rest of the logs seem normal, but are logs really supposed to be able to ever exceed 50 Gbs? That seems excessive.
I think the answer is to do log rolling, and if the total of the log file sizes exceeds some user defined limit, the oldest logs are automatically deleted. I don't think I'd ever want 1Gb of total log files.
