General feedback on the UI #1167

Description

@nickthecook

This app is simple to deploy and exciting, but it turned me off immediately with its UX. Here is some feedback from my perspective; please feel free to ignore. I'd like to have more self-hostable options like this and I'm trying to help.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
After using the app for few minutes, these are the reasons I wouldn't deploy it, at home or at work:

  1. Tone is self-important: drop the animated intro where you've "reimagined" search, drop the italics, drop the "Research begins here". The tool should be striving to present itself as useful, not ground-breaking, innovative, world-changing, etc.
  2. Don't put widgets on the search screen by default. Or, allow the user to remove widgets without going to settings. I would like the tool to be a useful AI-backed search, not my home page for everything.
  3. Discover is just ads and listicles. This is not meaningful content, and it takes away from the potential of the app. The app doesn't know anything about me, so it won't be able to help me "discover" things. Nor do I want it to.

Describe the solution you'd like
A clean and useful UX which is focused on AI-backed search.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Open Web UI and Onyx. This is better than Open Web UI and simpler than Onyx, it just needs focus in the UI.

Additional context
Thanks for the great work so far! I appreciate the open-sourcers open-sourcing things.
