Status of jadira ? #98

Is this project still supported ?
the last commit is from 2018-01-25, almost 3 years ago.
The last version is jadira.parent-6.0.1.GA from 2016-09-13, 4 years ago. There is jadira.parent-7.0.0.CR1, but it is a candidate release.
The only member of JadiraOrg is @chrisphe, and its last activity on this repository is from 2018.
What should be the path forward:
- add new maintainers to the github repository ?
- fork the project ? finding forks and searching is non-trivial.
- alternative libraries with a migration guide ?

This bug #71 is a problem for my team to migrate away from Java 8.
