How to create separated shortcuts for each executable from the appimage file.

I am using the appimage file. However, when it is executed, it opens the PDF4QT Launchpad application. How can I create a shortcut to open just the reader app in my linux system? I want to use PDF4QT as the default reader in linux mint.
