Using PDFLaTeX with xmltex (manual.tex + manual.xml via tei.xmt) in LaTeX-Workshop

I am working with the PDFLaTeX compiler and trying to build a project that uses xmltex.

My setup is:

% manual.tex
\def\xmlfile{manual.xml}
\input xmltex

manual.tex: [[link](https://mirrors.ctan.org/macros/plain/formats/xmltex/base/manual.tex)]
manual.xml: [[link](https://mirrors.ctan.org/macros/plain/formats/xmltex/base/manual.xml)]

The compilation uses tei.xmt, where the XML tags are mapped into the corresponding LaTeX coding.

My question: Is it possible to set up and build this workflow in LaTeX-Workshop?
If yes, could you please advise how to configure it (e.g., custom recipes, builders, or any extension-specific settings)?

You can surely define custom recipes. If you describe the different compilation commands, I can help you write the correct configuration.
