Saving Projects doesn't work on first save

The below video highlights two regression bugs:

1. When the user first clicks save, the project does not show up in the resulting list. This is also mentioned in Projects dialog not updated after saving (ARM) #70. You can bring it up by changing the list sort method.
2. When the user first clicks save, the project is not actually saved as removed apps are still present in the project. The user has to remove them again for the changes to persist.
