It's really strange. I introduced those changes, and it's working well. Jacky Liu (@JackyJetBrains) tested it as well.

Here there is a video where I update fields, and changes are persisted. I couldn't reproduce the case mentioned.

What I tried was to provide only the configuration name, then switch to another button, but the value is lost. I will debug it today.

OK, I want to help but I can't reproduce it. As I've shown in the video, switching buttons does not get the value lost. I've tried to close the controller and reopen it, and the value is still there 😕.

Hi I'm having the same issue with 1.0.5.0, the Customize Action ID is not keeping the value. Stream Deck software version is 7.3.1 (22604), on Windows 11

Here's a more detailed description:

With 1.0.4 when i change the value and click the save button it works. I then updated to 1.0.5 and the buttons I had saved with 1.0.4 still worked. If I try to change the Customize Action ID with 1.0.5 it does not work.

It's not only that it doesn't stick when switching between buttons. That is what is happening visually but the value is also not applied. Even while staying on the same button it doesn't apply the value.

For example in 1.0.4 I set Customize Action ID: CommentByLineComment and press Save
I update to 1.0.5 and the button still works and shows CommentByLineComment
I change the Customize Action ID value in the stream deck app to CommentByBlockComment and press enter and click on another field (Like Action Port).
It now shows Customize Action ID: CommentByBlockComment
I press the button while in Rider and it still applies a line comment not a block comment
If I then click off the button in the stream deck app and click back on it it shows CommentByLineComment again.

If I start with a blank button then pressing button won't do anything at all in Rider, even if I don't click off the button. So the button appears to have a Customize Action ID (as long as I don't click off the button) but it still acts like a blank value. The Customize Action ID value apparently is never getting set with 1.0.5.

The old "Save" in 1.0.4 works fine. Buttons saved this way work fine in 1.0.5 as well but 1.0.5 doesn't seem to be able to change the values.

I've found the reason, it seems to be caused by me not updating the generated final JS file, after updating, it works.

Root cause found. The compiled bundle is stale — it doesn't match the current TypeScript source.

  - The #save button doesn't exist in the HTML (was removed)

  This runs tsc + browserify to regenerate idea-property-inspector-bundle.js from the updated source.
