web-greeter semi-broken after full system upgrade

Environment

• OS: Artix 6.8.7
• web-greeter version: 3.5.3
• WM: bspwm

Bug description

Web greeter stays on the screen after successful login, it appears over my background (feh) and under my apps.

Steps to reproduce

(using lightdm-openrc and lightdm latest version)
upgrade web-greeter using yay
log in after a reboot or killing lightdm

Things I tried to fix it

• using the default theme and gab.
• using lightdm-gtk-greeter (the issue wasn't there).
• re-applying my background image.
• killing the web-greeter process.

After this I noticed that python3 was a process of lightdm, I used sudo kill python3 and the screen went away, however this doesn't fix the problem.

I had to update python to the latest official release and I too rebooted and web-greeter was broken. A fix would be outstanding. 🙏🏼

I built web-greeter on my machine and ran with the debug flag, I'm unsure if this is supposed to happen but I'll leave it here just in case
