Can not establish connection to qBittorrent through configuration

Hi there I am trying to set up and use this program for the first time. Apologies if I am a little out of my depth. I tried to follow the guide but when I set up the configuration file and then tested connection, it always fails.
I get this message in the terminal
BAD qBittorrent

I assume that this is due to me setting up the configuration file incorrectly, my configuration for the client is below. If you think a different part of the config file is the problem I can provide the full thing.

client_type = "qbittorrent"
url = "http://localhost:8080/"

Also I have qBittorrent installed from flatpak, and I am on Ubuntu 24.04. Thank you for your time and for your help in advance.

Here is my config that works on a Synology NAS with qB running in a docker container
