I think Registrator should always put https:// in the URL, right?

From this comment, it seems like the initial problem arose when the user put in http:// instead of https:// into the JuliaHub Registrator web UI.

Yes, I think it is possible to enforce that for well known gitforges. Also cc: @nkottary
