caveman in github copilot in vs code and in claude code app, both on mac

Installed caveman and it appeared to install in both claude code and github copilot. In github copilot (in the agent mode window in vs code) it responds that caveman mode has been turned on, but but does seem to work - everything is still overly verbose. I have no custom skills or instructions to override that behavior.

I'm also using the Claude Code app to manager multiple sessions. Even after restarting the app, the "/caveman" skill does not appear to be there.

Anyone dealt with either of the issues?
