How to add 2FA to ASF running on truenas scale 25.04 without removing the authenticator from the phone

You can't. It's impossible to get existing authentication from the phone now, so your only option is to remove authenticator and add it again as joint authenticator on both ASF and phone by following the guide nolddor linked above.

I love jail breaking and accidentally deleting apps from my 5 yr old phone anyways... thanks for helping out with the security updates we get!
