Slot 00 to 09

Which 8 channels does the SX1302 monitor, and is there a way to configure the window? My area uses slot 09 (904.125), but i'd like to also be able to monitor slot 00 in Meshpoint. Is this possible with the software/hardware?

I've confirmed that packets from a node on slot 00 do not appear in the MeshPoint packet feed, while slot 09 traffic is captured normally.

Good question. Meshpoint runs one SX1302 channel plan at a time for whatever region/frequency you’ve configured. There’s no supported way to point one unit at two different Meshtastic slots at once if they don’t line up with that single plan.

Practical answer: if you need slot 00 and slot 09 monitored continuously, use two Meshpoints (or two gateways), each configured for the slot you want to listen in on.

If you want to dig into whether your two slots could ever share one plan, open an Issue with region, preset, and the exact frequencies for slot 00 vs 09 on your nodes.

I fed Claude the relevant datasheets for the reference design and had it hack at the code. It's pushed back up to my meshpoint_mod fork. No idea if it works, since I'll have to pull it back down to a Rak to debug and that's not happening today.

Dug into your fork. The per-slot config is exactly the direction I want this to go. The piece you can't reach is in a separate module: happy to wire that side if you want to PR your changes (config + API + UI + the delete-button refactor) upstream when you're ready. Credit goes to you in the changelog and as a contributor...

Are you talking about the 1302 HAL code? I didn't see any mods needed there. Unfortunately, I don't currently have trusted hardware to test with while traveling. I'd bought a RAK V2 for the Pi 4 inside and, when I saw your project come up on Reddit, I literally had to dig the concentrator and hat boards from a scrap metal pile in the backyard to reassemble the device. I've gotten it to receive but not transmit, so may have blown the RF drive stage. When I get back home in a few days, there will be three more eBay V2s waiting for me.

Okay, I went ahead with a PR, now that I see the limitation in the compiled modules that would keep me from testing the functionality beyond the UI.
