Duplicate tracks in Liked Tracks

Current Behavior

If I go to spotify and check my liked tracks I have 613
In spotube I have over 11000
It seems there are loads of duplicates; searching for a track shows many versions of the same song in spotube

Expected Behavior

mirror perfectly the tracks

This duplicate tracks issue is a known pattern with Spotify liked tracks sync. The problem is likely in how the pagination cursor is handled during the savedTracks fetch — if the cursor resets or the offset is not tracked correctly between pages, the same batch of songs gets fetched multiple times.

Possible cause: The MetadataPluginUserEndpoint.savedTracks method fetches tracks page by page. If the next cursor URL is not being passed correctly between iterations (e.g., it falls back to the first page), all pages return the same initial 50 tracks, multiplied by the number of pages fetched — which would explain 613 real tracks becoming 11000+.

Quick workaround for now: Go to Settings → Clear Cache and re-sync. If duplicates reappear after a fresh sync, the bug is in the fetch logic. If they don’t, it’s a stale cache issue from a previous broken sync.

To help debug: Could you share the total track count shown in Spotube divided by your real Spotify count? E.g., 11000 / 613 ≈ 17.9 — if this is close to a round number (like 18), it would confirm the page count is the multiplier and pagination is the culprit. 👀

I have 613 track in spotify and 4894 in spotube; not sure why it shrank.
that is a ratio of 7.9 so not a round number

I cannot find any "clear cache" option in settings. I only have a cache music folder. tried disabling and re-enabling but no change
