Positioning doesn't work for BF and GF on a custom stage and defaults to Dad Stage

Making a custom mod and was adjusting the stage. I wanted to adjust BF and GF's positions to be farther from the opponent, but when i try to do this:

the game just default's to their positions at the default stage(y'know the one with Dad's).

i have gotten no errors, no stuff in debug logs, and i'm lost and confused. Please help!
