Thought, able to update a sensor if Air Quality isn't perfect?

Not really a card, more an automation, general idea is to update a sensor when the air quality isn't perfect, using the same metrics as the card.

Right now I have something like that running on 3 different air quality sensors, the metrics used are a little different than the one in the card, but was easy enough to update. So would be something like a sensor for each card which gets updated with changes, and then one group sensor or global sensor?

Thanks for the suggestion! The challenge is scope: a Lovelace card can only render UI — it can't produce sensor entities, since those have to come from an integration or template sensor.

The cleanest path today is a Home Assistant template sensor that mirrors the card's logic. If you want it to match exactly what the card shows, the thresholds live in _getRecommendation() and _getOverallStatus() in air-quality-card.js (CO is prioritized as life-safety, then radon, then CO₂/PM2.5).

If there's enough interest, a companion integration could be a separate project — but I want to keep this repo focused on the card itself. Leaving open for now in case others want to discuss, but it's unlikely to ship inside this repo.
