How to delete AC from BT ?

I need to remove the cooler from the thermostat configuration, but it is not possible.

Hi @serjio21, thanks for the report — you've found a real bug.

The cooler/AC entity genuinely can't be removed once it's set: when you clear the cooler field in the options flow and save, Better Thermostat keeps the old entity. The cause is in the config flow's input normalization — the cooler was the only optional entity that fell back to its previously stored value when the field was left empty, so clearing it had no effect.

I've opened #2091 with a fix (plus regression tests). Once it's merged, clearing the cooler field will remove it as expected.

Workaround until then — edit it out of storage manually:

1. Stop Home Assistant.
2. Back up and open config/.storage/core.config_entries.
3. Find your Better Thermostat entry and, inside its "data" section, either set "cooler": null or delete the "cooler" line.
4. Start Home Assistant again.

Alternatively, deleting and re-creating the BT device without selecting a cooler also works.
