Better Thermostat with Tuya AC device

Dear all,
Is anyone using Better Thermostat with a UniCal Flowy3 A/C device?
I’m experiencing a very strange issue. The device works perfectly in the Tuya app, and all the available settings and functions are displayed correctly. However, once I add it to Home Assistant using this Lovelace card, I can only select COOL or OFF.

All the other modes/functions seem to be unavailable. This makes the card almost unusable, since I can’t properly control the A/C from Home Assistant.

Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a solution?

Better Thermostat never offers COOL on its own: its entity has heat and off, or heat_cool and off when a cooler is configured. A card that shows only COOL and OFF is reading the modes of the Tuya climate entity, so that list comes from the Tuya integration. You can check under Developer tools → States, in the hvac_modes attribute of the Tuya entity. If modes are missing there, that is a question for the Tuya integration (or tuya-local/LocalTuya, if you use one of those). Closing this here. If the BT entity itself shows wrong modes, open an issue with its diagnostics.
