I made some changes in clique that made my Mod layer inacccessible (the keys I mapped to momentary Mod layer switch were not doing anything), so I couldn't open clique to fix it.
Iniital reset approach that didn't work:
What I ended up doing that worked:
- I flashed the default board firmware again
- I went to clique, selected 'Restore Default Keymap'
- I flashed my custom keymap
- Now, the Mod keys were working again
Based on the description at https://kinesis-ergo.com/clique-help/#firmware, it sounds like the settings reset should clear any hardware state applied with clique edits, but this did not seem to be the case here, and the additional step of using 'Restore Default Keymap' turned out to be required. I'm guessing this is a bug in the firmware/reset file. Otherwise, if this behaviour is expected, it would be great if the website explicitly suggest applying the restore via clique.
