[Question] What is the rule about remaking the game in another programming language?

I can't really find info about copyright/remake, and I am contemplating remaking this awesome game in another language/platform, either PHP, Godot, or C#

Is there restrictions, attribution necessities or plain forbiddances about that?

I do not plan on making any money over that, just remake the game, maybe later change thing for my own taste, like adding some more visual dynamics of character customization, but that's nothing in the near future

I think there are no rules, the code has been abandoned by its original author, and Kitteh themselves had a HTML/JS port of it at some point (last modified 10-ish years ago)

I am actually going to try and port this to web through raw javascript, myself. We'll see how successful this will be.
