Bug in custom range specification

Using 1.8.3 at NERSC with this state file: quickcompare-state_ASCR_highlight_NERSC.json.

I loaded variable SHFLX, turned on "Custom Range" for the "test" column, and tried to set the Max value to 200. The app keeps changing my input to 20.00. @willdunklin, could you test it on your end? Thanks!
