testserver with cookie and forward

Is there a way to get a cookie set in a RedirectResponse in the TestClient? I was not able to get this to work. See the minimal example below.

Notes

• I have tried the suggestions in https://stackoverflow.com/q/60559432
• response.history[0] does contain the headers and the cookie
• so does the response when run with follow_redirects=False
• I am not sure if that is a problem in starlette or in httpx

The cookie seems to be in response.request.headers...
