I would like to put a card connector slot (instead of directly soldering card on PCB). However, no room for the card connector slot: footprints are too close. Is there a chance to update gerber - double up distance between soldering footprints?

I think you may be able to solder on the connector at the edge of the PCB, but I haven't tried because I am not sure where you would obtain these connectors from in a bulk quantity. I am not entirely sure if I understand what you mean by increasing the distance between footprints. Did you mean increasing the distance between the flex cable socket connector and the wireless card footprint? I am not working on this project anymore, but if you would like to modify the design to accommodate a connector, you can certainly do so!
