In cases where the subgroup lattice is too hard to compute, and even in cases where it has been computed but it's really involved, it would be useful to have an option to just display the maximal subgroups, so for example add a button next to "all" and "normal" subgroups to give "maximal". (Very often, this is what I'd like to see as well, and of course you can always proceed by induction.)
As @roed314 pointed out to me, we already have the data there so it's just a matter of a UI tweak.
