Sometimes I just slide my finger through the wring course leading to undesired scrolls or nothing which isn't so user intuitive. Hence, if it was possible to know for sure that edge has been interacted with by having the edge pop up a bit in a preset colour, it would be easy to notice and save the user accidental swipes and taps.
