Feature Request: Support for app name label

We are currently tesing PushSinkGateway in our setup and one thing we see is that the metrics only contains appId but not appName:

shufflerecordsread{appid="app-20260218162243-0041",instance="sparkMeasure",job="pushgateway",type="stageMetrics-41-0"}

Is it possible to have app name as namespace or label in the metrics? Since ID of apps changes every time it is submitted, it is hard to have a consistent way to track the metrics and create alert on them. Though since we just started using the sparkMeause, if there is a configuration or recommended setup for this, we can also follow it.

You’re right, currently only appId is exposed and there’s no built-in support for appName or custom labels.
If you’re interested, we’d be happy to review a PR adding appName and/or configurable labels via Spark conf.
