Please help with some newbie issues after installation

I installed neomutt and mutt-wizard and all the suggested packages. My distro is MX Linux 23.5 (Debian 12 based).

After setting up the pgp key and running 'mw -a' neomutt shows all my folders from the mail server posteo.net which is good.

I was able to send a test message and I see it on the webpage on posteo in my inbox which is good, but it never shows up in neomutt.

My questions:

1. Do I need to manually sync my inbox somehow or set a cron job to sync? New to this so any help is appreciated.

2. /usr/share/mutt-wizard/mutt-wizard.muttrc has the line 'set smtp_authenticators = 'gssapi:login' which errored out. From another poster I saw to copy this file locally/point to it and change the line to 'set smtp_authenticators = 'login'' which cleared the error. Is this ok to do?

3. The isync config file .mbsyncrc has this in it:
   #Uncomment one of the lines below depending on how the password is stored
   #PassCmd "pass email/posteo"
   #Pass secretpassword
   Which one should I uncomment? For now I uncommented the first option but not sure if that is correct.

4. my account muttrc has a line '. /usr/share/mutt-wizard/switch.muttrc' which threw an error. Changing this to 'source /usr/share/mutt-wizard/switch.muttrc' cleared the error. What does the switch.muttrc file do and is the fix ok?

Ok after some reading I added '*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/mbsync -a -V > ~/.mbsync_log' to my crontab to check mail every 5 minutes and now it is working.

So question 1 is answered. Any help on the other questions is appreciated.

I'd recommend to use pass which correlates with option PassCmd "pass path/to/your/password" You can can call pass in terminal to see passwords paths as tree.

Make sure pass is installed and setup before adding account with mw -a example@email.com because it will automatically prompt for, store password in pass and setups all related configs to point with pass command for you.

Or you can later manually add pw to pass and add pass command that retrieves password command to PassCmd in /.mbsyncrcandpasswordevalin/.config/msmtp/config`
