not sure how to implement iris features

Hi! sorry im super unfamiliar with having to adjust iris, how do i access shader.properties? and im not entirely sure if i need a program that can run opengl ? sorry, a proper tutorial/run through would be great, thanks.

Hi! No worries! I should probably find or write a better article to link to about the Iris features. The one I have currently is mostly for shader developers and probably not very useful for regular users

The shader pack should just work right away in most configurations, as Iris automatically enables the features it requires¹ if they're available, which depends on your version of Iris and your graphics drivers. The latest versions tend to support the most features, so all you need to do if you're missing anything is usually to update those pieces of software. OpenGL² is also provided by your graphics drivers. If you can run Minecraft, it's already configured, but the maximum supported version depends on your drivers and your GPU

¹ Which is specified by the shaders.properties file inside the shader pack. You don't need to edit this manually

² OpenGL is essentially an interface between the game and your GPU. Most modern graphics drivers support version 4.6, but macOS-based systems are limited to 4.1 and therefore cannot run this shader pack. You should be able to find information on your GPU manufacturer's website on how to update the drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel)
