terminal after choosing linux

when i installed it at first, everything was fine, but suddenly something happened,

after choosing linux to boot in, usually a window with balck background shows up, and some stuff gets written like a terminal while loading, my problem here is that inside this wondow, instead of a black background iam seeing the original grub background

Huh. So the "terminal" that pops up has now which background? and is the text still written on it?

the text is being written correctly, but instead of a black background behind it i see the default kali linux grub background

In the /etc/default/grub file, you can either specify a GRUB_THEME or a GRUB_BACKGROUND and only one of them gets applied.
But practically, these two can be used together, thats what one of the patches in the install script achieves.

You can try to apply the patch (by running the install script) and then set GRUB_BACKGROUND=/boot/grub/<your theme path>/dirt.jpg in /etc/default/grub
