Installation requires a "valid cache path"

Dear community,
I'm trying a fresh install with the compose file, using Portainer. I've simply copy/pasted the compose file and got several errors, which I'm trying to solve by manually editing the file. However, the Lychee app container, although flagged as "running", still requires a "valid cache path".

Here's the log extract:

I've added CACHE_DRIVER: file in the environment section but still get this error.

Hi,

Are you on a Synology ? Because I am debugging issues on it at the moment (not that it is related to your problem). The only solution I found is to use RUN_AS_ROOT=yes to bypass them, I am trying to resolve this but facing weird bugs.

On your case, my intuition is that the some of your folders in storage are not writable, and this seems to be confirmed by this:

Hi Benoit,
No, I'm using a home server running Proxmox and OMV as the Docker host. What puzzles me is that the installation script didn't create the required folders. I had to SSH into the server to create them: access rights may then be wrong.
Where should I update the RUN_AS_ROOT parameter? Where's the .env located?

Hi, I am not sure how Proxmox is working. RUN_AS_ROOT is an environment variable for the container.
Within the container the .env file is at /app/.env but using environment variables also set the same values.

(RUN_AS_ROOT needs to be set to 'yes' if you want to use it)
