The current ACF PR #37 provides great flexibility in doing ACF calculations for various physical properties. However, in practice, people tend to to weight their ACF calculations by weighting factor. It would be great if the widget had the options to weight the physcial property whose correlation is being calculated.
Example and context
It is sometimes useful to say calculate a mass-weighted ACF. The weighting factor could thus be another physical property like mass or charge of the particles/atom. This weighting factor may also be a simple function of a quantity like $$\sqrt{m}$$ square root of mass. Thus giving say,
$$C_{mw,i}(\tau) = \langle \big(\sqrt{m_i}\mathbf{v}_i(t)\big) \cdot \big(\sqrt{m_i}\mathbf{v}_i(t+\tau)\big) \rangle_t$$
