Format requirement of GSoC proposal from MDAnalysis #4984
|
From the GSoC guide, they provide the elements of the proposal, including (1) Name and Contact Information, (2) Title, (3) Synopsis, (4) Benefits to Community, (5) Deliverables, (6) Related Work, (7) Biographical Information, etc. I would like to know is there any other required rules for the proposal from MDAnalysis (besides prior PR merged)? |

Thanks for the question, @yuyuan871111. The MDAnalysis GSoC FAQ outlines any specific requirements related to formatting and writing your proposal, and the MDAnalysis GSoC Wiki page additionally includes information on "How to write a great Application". TL;DR: there are not really specific formatting requirements, as long as your proposal is detailed enough to answer the important questions, includes appropriate references, and is succinct/focused enough to convey a project idea that can be feasibly tackled within the GSoC program's time constraints. |
