Location search component

Are there plans for a location search, as known as 'Geocoder', component?

I personally think such geocoder components tend to be highly opinionated, and it wouldn't be appropriate to include them in a base library like ours. If needed, anyone can create a separate extension library built on top of our library (or vanilla MapLibre GL JS), and we'd certainly welcome such contributions to the ecosystem.

There are indeed many ways to implement them and many services you can use. I ended-up switching from MapTiler to Mapbox's API in our application, see here the resulting component: https://github.com/pctni/ui/blob/main/src/lib/components/Geocoder.svelte

Do you think a generalisation of that could be worth packaging, e.g. in an npm package called svelte-geocoder or something? As a relative beginner in this space I also think it could be a useful learning experience for me to see how JavaScript/TypeScript/Svelte packages are built and distributed..
