Are Notes only in MIMIC-IV and does "not publicly available" mean even after access is granted? #1924

A colleague recommended MIMIC-III Notes but I only see MIMIC-IV. That would be fine for a project I am working on but the MIMIC-IV Notes pages has this...note (sorry): I am a NOOB, clearly so I apologize for my naive question but can I take that at face value? Is it possible for a researcher to use Notes data once they have been granted access? Is there a MIMIC-III Notes Module that is available? (and this is the reason I posted in the general discussion) I may request access anyway, but my project involves using NLP/LLMs on physician consult notes so I'm not sure there is much point in going through the approval process. Any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Access is needed for mimic iv note data.
Mimic IV Note data is available in https://physionet.org/content/mimic-iv-note/2.2/
While for mimic iii, there is table "NOTEEVENTS" for note data
